{Creative Splendour}

MakeShift is an art and research project that examines the relationships between 'making', 'clothing' and 'living'.

In the words of its creator, Natalie Purschwitz: "The basic premise for the project is that for a period of one year starting on September 1st, 2009, I will only wear things that I have made myself. Initially this may seem like a reasonable task, but it will include all of my clothes, socks, shoes, underwear, coats, jackets, hats, bathing suits, accessories and anything else I might need to protect my body from the elements while trying to lead a fulfilling life."

Everytime I look at what she has created - yes, all those lovely clothes, and yes, those funky shoes... its so fascinating and enriching!

P.S.: Thanks to Rebel-on-Rise for this blog tip. I owe you for this, babe!

{Sigh!}

Perfection wrapped around you. If not on my wedding, perhaps I can wear them on my birthday. In fact, any day which deserves to be dreamy and memorable... any day when I want to feel beautiful...

I like to Draw...

I like to draw. I am awesome. These two sentences are etched into the sides of two wonderful blue pencils that are included in this pencil pack along with one 50-page drawing pad. The notepad is handbound and features 50 different pages of ideas to draw at the top of each--from "Draw a picture of your meal and don't forget the crumbs" to "Draw a picture of a map of a place you would like to visit." Packaged in a glassine bag that has been embossed with the product information. A perfect gift pack for all ages.
